About me

Hi, I’m Ahatesham Bhuiyan, a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF), currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I previously served as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Unbounded AI Lab under Dr. Mengxin Zheng.

My current research focuses on quantum computing and quantum security — understanding vulnerabilities of quantum machine learning systems and designing hardware-aware security mechanisms for the quantum stack. Alongside this, I have a strong interest in machine learning security and trustworthy AI more broadly, including adversarial robustness, data privacy, and the security of large-scale AI systems.

Before joining UCF, I served as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at City University, Dhaka, Bangladesh (currently on study leave). I earned my B.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) in 2023, where my undergraduate research focused on natural language processing and computer vision — including context-aware attention mechanisms for image caption generation and multimodal learning.
